    Army Railroad Crane

One way you could move it is take it apart and move out the sections on a lowboy or a step deck flat bed. The rest could be moved on a regular flat rail car. Red Streak rail can move this on the rail system. At any rate it's going to be expensive either by truck or train:cry:

    Camp Dodge, Iowa Pick-Up

I got my deuce from there in March, it was a good day, not too cold. You'll need your Drivers license and invoice. The guy at the guard shack will give you directions to Building w4, I think. As you drive there you'll see trucks up ahead in the distance (North Lot). Stop at building w4 or what...

    M818 'Suburban'

I say try and build it. It may take awhile but I think it's worth it. :-D Then sell it on Ebay for all you can get !!

    Kudos to Another GL Employee

I had her check my 1st EUC too, she was great to do business with :-D! Maybe GL is finally practicing good "customer service".

    Yellow paint.....why?

    Maybe it's a multi fuel CAT motor:roll:?

    Recovering at Camp Dodge.

The paper work that you get with your truck( if you get any at all) lists all the defects that were found when it was turned in. Mine stated that it had an inoperable in tank fuel pump. The guy that took me to the truck, which is actually in a north east lot with the wrecked or non running...

    Recovering at Camp Dodge.

I just got a deuce from there Thursday and it was in the North lot which meant that it didn't run. If the trucks listed say that it didn't run there is more to it than just a dead battery. All the junk goes to the North lot. Mine had an inoperable in tank fuel pump. BUT being the "Deuce...

And for god sake read the tm

I agree, that was dumb on their part. I've been a trucking veteran for 17 years and the first thing we were taught was to RESPECT the truck and don't do anything stupid because that truck weighs a lot, it's not a sports car, and you can kill yourself or others by negligence. These guys need to...

Here is the 5 ton M52a2 that arrived home in October of last year. It was sold as a parts/salvage truck but it really isn't that bad. It runs good, engine is smooth and still has a lot of pep to it, drives well too but 2nd is a little funky shifting in and out of, but OK other wise. I plan on...

I've got pics of the 5 ton arriving on a RGN I'll have to see if I can post them here or not. The body is rusted:cry: but it's mechanically sound!

Hi everyone, I'd thought I post a quick thread to say that I love this site. I purchased a deuce last month from Johnston/ Camp Dodge, IA. For this being my first ever deuce purchase form the Government, GL wasn't that hard to deal with . My EUC was approved in 1 WEEK :-D and now comes the...

Arkansas and Iowa recovery info needed

Congrats on the deuce purchase, I also won a deuce there in Iowa as well. Mine was the "does not run" truck. I hope I can get it started and drive it home, it's only 120 miles to my acreage where I'll park it in Nebraska. To ship a deuce is costly. I had one shipped from Missouri to Nebraska...

    MRAP's in Iraq - NEW Pictures - Updated 03 Sep 2008

I love the over the road truck as I hauled parts to International in Garland, TX where they were built. I got a close up look at the beast, it's all 1/4 thick steel cab and sleeper, not your ordinary tractor. I hauled the grills in from Minnesota for these and was proud that I did something to...

    M818x3+872+447c=long trip

Wow impressive! You did a great job moving those trucks. I just brought my m52 5 ton home on a lowboy which was a lot easier though. I know if I tried something like that I'd only end up making it worse!
