MV Parts store fuel filter kit install/review

There we go I figured someone would have it. I ended up using the recommended ones, weren't too expensive and they fit good

MV Parts store fuel filter kit install/review

Can't remember now, this install was about a year ago. I have since sold the truck unfortunately and all the paperwork I had went with it. They were common filters though I just picked them up at Napa the same day, not terrible expensive either

MV Parts store fuel filter kit install/review

It likely varies for everyone, I had already changed some fuel lines in my truck to clear the winch driveshaft, and the LDS obviously wasn't original to the truck so I'm sure that changed up some stuff too. But the major stuff like the filter bracket and fuel line length is all correct, just...

MV Parts store fuel filter kit install/review

I'm not sure, if you call or email then they should be able to tell you. I believe it was something with the driver side fender well but I can't say for sure

Air leak from transmission area, brake pedal like concrete

Also, about your compressor. A ticking noise when it is engaged and building air is normal, I've never seen a deuce that doesent make that noise. Our old Mack's at work do it too. Unless your compressor is putting engine oil into your air tanks or taking way longer to build pressure than it's...

    Spin on oil filter kit

I know this is about spin on oil filter kits, but I see some comments regarding fuel filter adaptors as well. If you're considering going the fuel filter route as well, I do not recommend the jatonka setup. His kit is great for the oil filters, but only marginally improves the fuel system. The...

No brake pedal pressure after bleeding brakes.

This is just a stupid question and I may have missed it in one of the posts, but the trucks air system is a full pressure correct? Engine can be off but you need air pressure for this to work. I kinda speed read this since my lunch break is almost over but stupid questions are my favorite kind

    Compressor pulley wrench

Yeah I'm familiar with the process, and that's exactly why I'd rather just replace it, especially because it broke right where the hole is for the bolt so it would have to be machined as well and it would not be a cost effective solution. Frank, is that actually how the tensioner works? I...

    Compressor pulley wrench

Yeah the pulley is cast and can't be welded. As for the wrenches I have the open ended one, it works great and I didn't have any issues with it stretching open at all. I suppose I could jam a pipe wrench in the front in place of the cross wrench, but making one could be a fun little project too...

    Compressor pulley wrench

My compressor base gasket recently sprung quite an oil leak. Finally bought a new gasket and went to out it in, only to realize one if my compressor wrenches is gone, specifically the big square shaped one. Also noticed that my pulley is cracked in front where the bolts run through it. My...

MV Parts store fuel filter kit install/review

Lol it's a friend's garage, the truck blocks the view but there's doors on both sides so you can drive straight through his garage and out to the ramps. Though a set ramps long and strong enough to get the truck out there is something I certainly would like to see

    EGT performance

That is how the governor works on every diesel ever produced that I'm aware of. Unlike a gas engine where your spark starts cutting, a diesel governor will cut your fuel rate from going any higher once a certain rpm is reached. The governor system is not something unique to the multifuels

MV Parts store fuel filter kit install/review

So after weeks of the kit sitting in my room I finally got around to installing it. For those unfamiliar, this kit converts the truck to a pair of spin on fuel filters, like the jatonka kit except I believe this a far better setup. This kit comes with all new fuel lines from the tank to the IP...

    EGT performance

My truck sits on a set of 395s so it takes a little more to get going and hold 55, but cruising empty I can pull about 7-900 ° on flat ground. I turned the fuel down some from the previous owner, it's still turned up from stock, and my truck also has an LDS instead of an LDT, so I do make a...

    M35A2 engine rebuild?

If you can find a cheap used takeout o would go with that. I just rebuilt the LDS in my truck a few mk that ago, I have a whole thread on that adventure, I believe it was titled "engine knocking LDS-465". In the end I think it costed about 1500 to rebuild edit by mod: Here's a link: Lds-465...

First MV: CUCV M1008 or deuce?

You wouldn't survive with a deuce seeing as you have little technical experience. Theyre like working on pickup trucks except you start to need heavy duty tools and even more knowledge of how things work. I love my m35, but I use it all the time for scrap runs and bulk firewood collection. As...

‘72 M35A2 dripping Oil front end, bottom of Engine

That's strange, I'm not sure what would cause that type of smell. Do you mix oil or anything into your fuel? Also you can post videos here in the form of posting them on YouTube and then linking the video in your post. That's how i do it

‘72 M35A2 dripping Oil front end, bottom of Engine

How white is the smoke? When I get on it hard my truck produces a light gray smoke instead of black. Does the smoke smell sweet at all? That's an easy test a good way to point yourself in the right direction for a headgasket
