Good day. The units I tested with the new blue EPROMs worked great. I’ve put them in 3 Humvee’s and all are working great. I’ll look for the pics and attach in next message.

Anyone install a boost gauge to see what their boost is ? If so what did you get ?psi.
I installed boost and fuel pressure gauges and looking to compare readings.
At 2500 rpm and 60 mph i see +/- 5 psi boost and +/- 10 psi fuel pressure.
Thanks

Good day,
Couple questions:
First question :
I’m trying to understand the Engine Speed Sensor, looking at the trouble shooting guide in ™ …387-24-1 section 2 pg 402 it says .3 volts min at idle but it doesn’t say a/c or d/c. I see it marked as a/c in the 4L80 supplement,,, so should I read A/C...
Thanks, yes I have that manual. Trans light comes on when run switch is turned on and goes out when engine starts. I’ll check for codes to be sure.
Thanks

Yes trans light works. What should I check to see if TC is working correctly ? I’ll go back in manuals and try to find an answer.
Thanks

What should be normal operating temperature of a 4l80e transmission ? I went for a 10-15 min drive and crawled under Humvee after and transmission pan was very hot, I’ll try again tomorrow and get some temperature numbers with my temp gun.
Thanks

Thanks, I’ve found 2 compatible GM TCM’s used and ordered the blue chips so I’ll find out, hate to pay $650 up for a spare. I’m really just trying to learn more and investing $200 is worth it to me.
Thanks everyone.

Yes the new TCM’s are pricy $650 up. I’m going to try getting an old civi TCM with an eprom to just try ($250 +/-) if it works I’ll keep for a spare, if not … well I learned something
Thanks

Thank you that helps me understand them better, I was confused by the dates on the chips. So a 1999 turbo chip is good for 2006 turbo but not for a 2006 non turbo and the newer TCM’s don’t have chips.
Again thanks

Are all the eprom’s compatible in the TCM’s ? I see different years I assume different programming for shift points as trucks got heavier ? I’m just trying to learn more about the different Humvee’s.
Thanks

I’m trying to check DTC codes on my 2005 M1152 and it just respetes 12, I let it run thru 7 times and just respetes 12, is it safe to assume there are no problems with TCM ? I dont see anything in 4L80 manual or ™’s addressing this.
Thanks Rick
