I'll ditto the glass shop. I redid the frames on my Deuce, it was actually pretty easy. Also allowed me to clean out some of that Michigan Rust that I'm sure you've got, too... ;)

Just did the wiper arm upgrade on my Deuce. Just thought I'd mention, the guy at NAPA said the 60-750 kit is on it's way out... dunno if there's gonna be a replacement for it. So if you're thinking about doing it, now would be the time! :D I haven't tried mine out yet, but just looking at it...

Hey folks. Sorry it went missing. I haven't been around in a while - me and my deuce have been physically separated for a while (I was in OK, Deuce was in storage in MI). Anyway I'll try to dig it back up and get it fixed.

Well it appears the culprit has been found - and that my first assumption that the signal unit just died may not have been wrong. After a bunch of troubleshooting, I tracked the short down to the turn signal switch. Opened it up and viola! It wasn't hard to see - a wire pinched in the case...

Thanks, but already have a new one on the way. Did what I SHOULD have done before I hooked the new one up, and plugged my little cheapie radio shack multi-tester up to the flasher unit plug. Hit the left side - 2A. Ok. Hit the right side.... went off the scale at 20A.... :oops: Now comes the...

SUCC.... CRAP!!!!! Got my new flasher unit from Saturn Surplus (great dealing with them as always). Plugged it in, turned on the left turn signal, flash flash flash, awesome. Turn on the right turn signal.... funny noise... funny smell... flasher unit is very warm and now instead of A broken...

I'm a big fan of PB Blaster for penetrating lube, but I'm willing to try other stuff out if I think it will work better! This "Spray from God" sounds interesting.... ;) As for Simple Green - a big X2 on that one, GREAT stuff!!!

Personal tip here for something not only when picking up your Deuce, but to just keep handy all the time. Just learned this one today. Keep a small (2-3 inches) chunk of 14-16 gauge wire with the ends stripped off, and some electrical tape, handy. The flasher units located on the inside...
