how can you tell which trans is for a NHC 250 OR 8.3 Turbo?.....i'm looking at a military rebuild and can you tell by the numbers in the paper work?.....
any help would be great....
M931A2 is acting up when it is cold it wants to slip in reverse after it warms up it pulls just fine and in drive it shifts though all the gears locks torque converter in 2nd and stays locked up tell it hit 5th and it hesitates to go in then when it goes in then the torque converter...
i tried adjusting the cable per the TM and it didn't seem to do anything.......i guess it was doing it before the exhaust because it would have trouble pulling hills from unlocking......it is just a lot more noticeable with the louder exhaust....
what will adjusting the u-bolt do?

took the 931a2 to the station the other evening for some fuel.....got it out on the highway and it shifted 1 to 2 then lockup then 3 to 4 then 5th staying locked up...not held to the floor....

i put a 5" MBRP muffler and started the 5" about 16" from the turbo.......i have 2 6.5 turbo chevys with the same muffle they are just 4"....sure woke the ol 8.3 up don't have to flat foot it to get it to go any where.......i posted a while back when i done it.....post 4639...
