Was this a fix?
Sorry to jump in late but I'm having the same issues. Maybe even worse. I can't go up much of an incline at all or have it full throttle for too long before it "starves it's self". Well that's what I think. I just got the truck and have not pulled anything apart.
So things learned during yesterdays failed attempt to recover my truck.
1. Tools only go so far. Bring commonly needed spare parts.
2. Plan for more than 1 day of travel. 30 year old truck is going to have hiccups.
3. Have a backup plan!
Anyone near Fort Walton FL. have a trailer capable of hauling a m1008?
Just purchased mine in north Georgia and want to get it home Friday.
All the rental companies have turned me down either because of weight or the fact I'm driving out of state.
Any other options for getting it home?
Hello everyone!
I am new to SS and the MV family.
Have not purchased my truck yet but I have spent many hours reading up so I can make a great decision!
I'm in the market for either a M1008 or M1028.
Can't wait to post pictures of my trucks when I find the right one!
