Need humvees moved Virginia to Wisconsin / Wisconsin to Georgia

Looking to get quotes, or find someone who is in the business of moving trucks. I've got an M998 in Virginia right now I'd like brought to Port Washington, WI. In October, I'm taking two M998s from Wisconsin to Georgia for the weekend, that would then subsequently need to be brought back over...

Can Hummer H2 wheels be mounted on hmmwv m998?

I'm of two minds on the subject of keeping the runflats. I'm not in combat, but I do use the truck for airsoft events, forty hour scenarios and what not. More than once now I've been saved by the runflats after picking up screws, a discarded ammunition casing, and once- a very gnarly thorn...

Can Hummer H2 wheels be mounted on hmmwv m998?

I'm considering it. Or just finding replacement wheels in general. The runflat wobble is the bane of my existence. Going to try the centramatic wheel balancers, and then I'm gonna be shopping for new wheels if that doesn't work.

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

I used the mount that came with the amazon mirror I shared. No issues with it coming off, other than the fact it's a real bear to remove when you want to move it. Haven't noticed a whole lot of vibration or movement, the mirror stays where I put it. Very happy with the purchase.

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

I used a suction cup marine mirror. $15 on Amazon, and it's got a wide enough field of view that I don't need my rear views when I've got the top off. Which is a plus, because I take them off for airsoft and paintball events...

    M998 to GMV-ish conversion

The rubber is there for the potential rattle of the plates. And it fits the bill. Fear not about the C pillar. It's not holding anything up. The stabilizer bar is just there to keep it from swinging freely while the soft top/door bars aren't on. And it's being replaced with a tubular frame...

    M998 to GMV-ish conversion

We actually did re-enforce the windshield mounts, with steel plates behind and in front of the grade 8 bolts, and then rubber shock absorbers between the plates and the windshield frame, for vibration dampening. The bolts are on the underside. We'll be mounting 240s up there- and...

    M998 to GMV-ish conversion

So in my ongoing conversion, I have recently added a gun turret to my soft top M998. We used an MG3 rig, that we slimmed down. ( German engineering is nice, but ridden with superfluous features. ) We utilized the existing B Pillar and added bracing supports to the windshield, and C Pillar...

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

Replaced the center link and tie rod ends to fix my alignment issue. Had an M6 mount fabricated and installed. And added some logos.

    New Acquisition M998

Worse yet, they'll likely be shooting it with airsoft guns. Which, in our experience, doesn't really do any damage. Though our previous truck was painted a little less nicely.

    New Acquisition M998

I haven't checked. I noticed it was right around 220 going down the road though. I'll idle it a bit and get back to you later!

    New Acquisition M998

Figured I'd post my new acquisition, as I've just been lurking up until now. It's a 1990 M998 that I picked up to use as an advertising tool for my Paintball & Airsoft business. The gentleman I bought it from, a local police officer, did some digging and found that it was used as an MP...
