Hmmm..do you like low flying aircraft?....then here ya go!

The rumors I've heard as backstory to this was that it was part of a show or town event to bring in a barnstormer (hey, maybe that's where the name comes from!) to fly low and knock off the top of an old or falling down barn or structure as part of the entertainment. I can't confirm this, but...

    Ship models of Norman Ough

This book was just released. Haven't seen it yet, but it looks interesting.

This is just a general observation, but I wanted to say everyone on this site is a rockstar in my book. The knowledge and willingness to help is amazing! Thanks for all the time and effort everyone puts into sharing info, answering questions and just generally being swell people. :-)

I like the higher contrast also! That helped, but it didn't fix my problem. It did give me a workaround though. The high contrast makes it easier to see, but it still doesn't let me see what I'm writing when I reply or quote. The mobile version does work for that, but it's ugly and utilitarian...

Thanks! I guess since this is a site about military stuff, you wouldn't want to make the link obvious, or say what it is. :-) I really appreciate the help, and for being patient enough to explain the obvious to me. I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed sometimes.

And another thing! :-) Why is the edit feature only available on 'some' of my posts? Is there a certain type of post that allows n edit feature, is it random, something I'm missing? Thanks!

I don't see anything that allows me to change the background color. Also, the background color of the website is slightly different than the background color of the message box, message box is slightly lighter. I don't think changing the website background color would affect the message box, but...

I tried to edit my recent post but because I couldn't see where I was in the text, it didn't work out. :-) I just wanted to add, the Title box at the top shows up white against the background, so I can add a title no problem, it just appears to be the body of the message that's green, hiding...

I have a question about using the SS forum via iPad. I usually access the SS site with my iPad because it's more convenient than my PC and has a larger screen than my phone. When trying to comment though or reply to a comment, the white text box is not visible. The green background color is all...

Sounds like a lot of fun. Can't bring the Duece there yet, and looks a bit off road for my Camaro. :wink:I'll keep checking the thread you shared though to see how it's shaping up.

John – San Diego. Although I live in San Diego, I travel through 13 western states for GM, including Alaska, and I'm always on the lookout for MV’s. I see a lot, but I'm usually driving and by the time I've fumbled my phone up, they're too far to take pictures.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I registered the M35 today! OK, that doesn't sound like much when asking what did you do to your deuce today, but it was with the California DMV, it was a big deal. Started out over a month ago hearing the truck was listed as junk, destroyed, and would never be able to be registered. Diligence...

    Winch and Bumper Project

Thanks for the pics! It looks even better when you see the entire bumper / winch in relation to the rest of the truck. Looks fantastic!

    Winch and Bumper Project

Looks amazing, great job! Could you post a few pics showing more of the front of the truck? I'd love to see how it looks in relation to the rest of the truck. Did I mention great job! 8-)

    1/3 scale B17

Hopefully this hasn't been posted before. I was fascinated by the beauty and construction of this 1/3 scale B17. Not sure if it has flown yet, but it's not an RC, there's room for a pilot inside.

Same, I've got a 1953 Studebaker M35 gasser with the REO engine! QUOTE=wadefreedomvehicles;1909817]This is pretty, sweet man. I own a 62 REO Gasser M109, and so I am gonna follow this thread and see what kinds of things you do.

    Re: Optima Battery Woes

I wouldn't focus just on Interstate, there are a lot of large battery distribution centers around the country. I use an 8D start battery for my diesel, as well as 6 smaller house batteries and I've purchased a lot of batteries over the years for race cars, trailers and marine applications...
