A little backstory,
Bought this 802 with 40 hours a couple years ago. Oregon rebuild. County got it DRMO. Both injection pumps were bad, I ordered new ones and it sat in my garage for a long time. Decided to get it going to sell or use in a camper build.
Installed new pumps and among other...
I got these for free so im offering them for free before I take to scrap. 1 turns over, 1 does not. The one that turns over is missing the governor linkage, I needed it for another generator.
Will load for free, but if you want them shipped you are paying me for my time and fuel.
Located in...
Here's the military version of a Magnum light tower. All fluids and filters serviced, good batteries with solargizer. Load tested. 120/240v, outlets can be added and you can easily use this as a backup 6kw generator. They are very quiet and only go through 1/2 gallon an hour. Diesel Mitsubishi...
Maybe they're assuming you have to order a roll that comes in 35 foot length because there's definitely not that much used on a 005... maybe 8-10 foot total.
It sold to the guy not far from me that bought that electrical nightmare 005.
In regards to Eagle Eye 3 's post, I have my fuel lines made by my local NAPA. They're technically hydraulic psi rated but they work fine with fuel. Don't know the thread pitch specifically but if you look up the...
Make sure they actually work. Pull them off and put a paper under them while turning over the motor and check spray pattern after you verify fuel is flowing to them.
The issue is exactly that, having more than enough. Was that generator a 10kw peak or 10kw continuous generator? Was your only issue when the heat and well pump was combined draw? The 005 will suffer from wet stacking probably in your case. If you're deadset on using this generator, once you...
I understand the price was definitely a motivator, but do you really want/need a 30kw? I don't know what size house you have, but most houses only need a 10-15kw and have a low kw resting pull. If you do not have constant load around 10kw(ish) on it you are going to have wet-stacking issues.
I saw that generator for sale on FB marketplace for a while, it was only about 1.5 hours from me. While the price and hours were low, they sure did a number on that electrical system. I doubt you will be able to convert without issue to single phase due to the modified voltage regulator and...
Yes to both. The 24v system is for jumping other MVs and for 24v accessories like radios, etc.
I know of a local 1998 CUCVII tahoe and 1998 CUCVII pickup that are both factory diesel, and wired the exact same as mine with 12v starting system from the factory.
They absolutely do not all have 24 volt starters. As I said, I've owned 4 (currently 3), worked on others. Not a single 24v starter to be had. Definitely original starters on mine.
Sounds to me like your start system is wired incorrectly and you are sending 24v to a 12v starter. Jumping with a slave shouldn't really work well for starting your vehicle if everything is connected stock since it is a 12v starter.
The 24v gauge gets signal voltage from the voltage converter...
