what has to be done to swap a c3116 to a c3126

I also had the same conditions I had a engine with the wiring harness and a gas pedal. The rest I did myself So such things as the converting the intercooler from one to two ports , the fuel lines, exhaust system and so on. All you need for the wiring are standard parts the wiring diagrams and a...

what has to be done to swap a c3116 to a c3126

I did all the wiring myself, if you take both schematics of A1 and A0 then it actually goes without major problems. My LMTV fortunately already had a WTEC III so it was quite easy to connect the TPS via J1939. The Dash is basically a standard J1939 engine monitor with a customized software.

what has to be done to swap a c3116 to a c3126

I swapped out the CAT 3116 for a 2006 CAT C7 330HP on my LMTV A0. The physical installation was relatively easy. However, all the wiring was relatively complicated. With the C7, the A0 drives very very nice and the fuel consumption is also lower. If you have any special questions then feel...

Yes, I know the wiring diagram ;-) this is the wiring diagram I used but it doesn't fit 100% to the new engine and the wiring harness.

    electric issue LMTV CAT C7

It was a lot of work to wire everything, especially because I didn't have a proper wiring diagram. And I think wouldn't do it again [emoji3] If your customer has any questions, please contact me No the engine and the gearbox were not damaged The only thing broken was the oil filter housing and...

    electric issue LMTV CAT C7

Thanks for the info, I've already swapped the engine and it's running perfectly. The communication between engine ecu and transmission ecu works without problems. All important data such as throttle position and enginespeed are recognized by both control units.

    electric issue LMTV CAT C7

Why do I need the transmission from the A1? The Allison 3070SP also works together with the WTEC III Controller on the CAT C7 The ECUs communicate via J1939 and both can do that, so I don't think it's necessary to install the Allison 3700SP.

Hello all, I'm about to change the engine on my LMTV. From a 3116 to a C7 I noticed that there are 3 cables on my engine that don't show up in any wiring diagram. The cables have the numbers TL 110/111/112. Maybe someone can help me out and tell me where they need to be hooked up. greetings...
