    I successfully restitched the window zippers into my front doors using a stitch awl. Although there was a bit of a learning curve it turned out well overall!

    What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

    I don’t know about the trailer, but the GVWR of an M998 is 7700# and the curb weight of mine sits right at 5200 in the 4-man configuration (no armor) without doors. I haven’t weighed it since converting to 2-man.

    Soft top function

    Don't forget that your vehicle was designed to transport troops to the combat zone, not to cruise the PCH. The top is there as a sunscreen and guard against light debris, which was subsequently replaced on the modern battlefield with ARMOR.
