I'm in for our fire company! These would be great for our M1028 1985 Chevy brush truck. It works well on brush and mountain fires on the Appalachian trail!
When someone repainted the truck from green to red, they sprayed over the dirty filter indicator and it is barely visible. We are looking to replace the filter first and see what happens. We think the turbo may still be good?
These last 2 pictures - what does the tube that is capped off go too?
The smoke pic is when the OLD air filter and can is back installed as we do not have a new one yet.
The video is WITHOUT the air filter and can installed.
After a long time, we finally got time to take the deuce apart a little more, I got some pictures of the turbo, the air filter and can and the smoke without the air filter and with the air filter back in. We are thinking if we replace the air filter it will help but we are still looking for more...
I was going by what I was being told, I only got pictures sent to me of the turbo on the deuce a few months ago. Maybe it does have 6, I have never seen the inside of the engine compartment personally. It does look like someone said the link I shared will fit the stock engine and thank-you for...
Hello all,
I tried to research what type of motor was in our 1977 American General M35A2. I know it is a 4-cylinder but we are looking to put fuel filters on the state forestry grant since this truck is owned by the forestry and on loan to us. We can put maintenance items on the grant.
How...
Hello all,
We are looking to put a rear hitch on the back of a former 1985 Chevy M1028. A Draw-Tite representative is asking the following questions. I know it is an 8 foot bed but how do I know if it has a deep drop bumper or not? I did not get to measure and see if the frame is 34 inches wide...
Would this kit work well for our truck? Also what is the difference between a regular and sock-style seal?

Also, would this be the boot I would need? It looks like it, but hard to tell since both on the truck are dry rot and cracked in multiple places. https://www.eriksmilitarysurplus.com/axboallm35se.html
Thanks, I am glad it doesn't seem too bad. With the correct jack, jack stands and removing the tire along with common tools and a truck driver with mechanic background, we can change it ourselves right? Or would this be a shop type repair? I was thinking the inner seal would be bigger and this...
Hello everyone, we believe our deuce M35A2 has a seal leak on the drivers side front. We would also like to replace the rubber boot on both tires as they are ripped. (see pictures below) I have looked on the 9-2320-209-20P and I can't find exactly what I am looking for or I am looking in the...
