    M105 for me

I am not saying this is the case, but this sounds like collusion. I suggest editing and rewording the original post. I am just trying to help.

    6/12/09 GSA Machine Shop Trailer

I have not heard of that site. GSA? What is that? Can anyone tell me about that site because I would like to start bidding there? Are they related to GL?

    M813

Watch ebay. There are two fellow SSers who have their trucks on there right now. Nice trucks at very fair prices.

Where in MD are you from? I am located in Northern VA. Welcome aboard!

What makes a deuce a deuce?

Three axles, six-wheel drive and a 2-1/2 off-road rated carrying capacity. A bobbed "deuce" would not fit that category.

    sealed bid auctions

I actually prefer sealed bids. Newbys tend to either not bid or bid low because they are afraid to lose money. Sealed bids encourage guys who know their stuff to bid what an item is worth, whatever that might mean. I know several guys who have personally told me that they would not have bid...

Super Singles Pics + info needed

I know some guys want to put the biggest tires on a deuce that they can possibly find. The 1600s are just too big in my opinion. They look, well, grotesque. They almost rub the fenders. I always try to get people to stick with the stock sizes (900 or 1100), but, if you must convert your truck...

    Bobbed 818 4sale-not mine

That WAS a nice truck until they cut her up. What a shame, and it was a rebuilt truck, too. I will add that they did a good job butchering the truck, very neatly done, but, still, what a shame.

    Price check M35A3

I am trying to figure this out. You want us to tell you how much to bid against us on future auctions? Am I accuarate here? Am I the only one that has no interest in letting anyone know what to bid against me?!?! I would never ask someone else what I should bid. If this is not what is being...

    Personal Rant....... 5 ton wanted......

The guy who buys a residue truck and parts it out or puts it back together is saving something from the scrap heap, not the guy buying four deuces with the intention of making money to pay for their collection. Nothing wrong with that if you are honest about what you are doing. I believe it...

    Personal Rant....... 5 ton wanted......

Plain and simple, if you buy to resell to support your hobby/addiction (whatever you want to call it and however you want to justify it) you are a dealer. Please don't use the "I am saving it from the scrap heap" justification. It is insulting that you would think that by taking the moral high...

    Personal Rant....... 5 ton wanted......

Do you know who bids these trucks up? Half the guys on this list disguise themselves as collectors, but actually fund their hobby by buying and selling trucks. I could name a dozen or so guys just from watching this site the last few months. Who wants to be outted? :-D It used to be that most...

    Which Do You Have ?

I am stock all the way. I do have some appreciation for slight mods assuming they could be reversed and don't involve mauling the vehicle. I realize that the word "slight" is subject to interpretation but it definitely does not involve butchering the chassis.

    Hemmt rims & tires needed

Do you know why they call them HEMTT rims? Because they belong on a HEMTT, not a 5 ton and not a deuce.

    5 Tons under a deuce

I must have missed that. Thanks for the explanation. I suppose I was referring to several of the other deuces with 1600s on them. Good luck with your conversion.

    5 Tons under a deuce

How do you get around the fact that the 1600s damn near touch the fender and the underside of the M105 bed? While the tires make them more capable off-road in theory and the truck looks like something out of the monster truck circuit if you like that sort of thing, I bet the tires hinder the...

I hope you are not interested in one because you just gave GL more free advertisement.

Help! Deuce vs 5 Ton pics side by side

I realize this is not the comparison you were asking about, but it is a cool pic none the less that shows off the differing sizes of the two 5 tons.

    Another long distance recovery...

Yeah, you can get transit tags here in VA, too. All it takes is a visit to the DMV web page! Congrats on your safe recovery.
