I use a generic o ring kit for most things. The odd stuff you can find the nsn and sometimes there are different cross numbers. I have selector valves for one style box. The valves are not cross compatible between box styles.
The manual has the parts breakdown. There are 2 different types of boxes. I think some of it is just o rings. The part numbers in the tm do usually work for spx or parker parts.
Buying all those little parts piece by piece would be very expensive. You can usually get away with the cup seal and a bumper. The bumpers disintegrate over time and then bits get into the system.
I have swapped pumps without issue. I had to bleed out a tire lift cyl once took the line off. You could have some air in there. Make sure you didnt accidentally switch the 2 hyd lines. You can take off the pump return line and put it to a container see if you can use the pump to purge the system.
It has been my experience with multiple trucks that when the pump seal is failing the unit will blow hydraulic fluid out the vent in clearly visible puffs. Good pump units will not have any visible puffing when standing at the hyd control. The pumps seem to have a high failure rate in general.
Its not super fast but should make enough hyd pressure to raise the cab slow but steady. If it needs a seal it wont work right it will fight itself a bit.
Not smoke. You are blowing hyd fluid out the air vent it just comes out atomized in puffs. The air hyd unit needs to be rebuilt the main pump seal is bad. Compressed air used to run the pump is leaking past the seal and into the hyd reservoir.
The parts tm has the full breakdown of the unit. I am pretty sure you can order any part of it from an spx dealer. I have a few cores I want to rebuild as spares I wonder if a major rebuild kit is available.
