    M1008 rear axle (seal replacement)

Job done! Brakes looked good and no leaks from the line. The metal gaskets fit great. I went with black RTV in between the metal flange gasket and the axle face. No leaks. Thanks for the tips CUCVRUS!

    M1008 rear axle (seal replacement)

I am assuming you use this instead of applying black RTV to the flange? Or addition to?

    M1008 rear axle (seal replacement)

Getting ready to replace a leaking rear axle seal myself on an 86' CUCV. Never done one before. Any tips, tricks or watchouts? Also, I know I turn to youtube for a lot of help on the unknown. Found one decent video on a full float axle seal replacement. Any other DIY videos out there?
