You need to adjust the throttle cable so you get full throttle. There is a threaded rod where the cable meets the fuel pump. Make sure the cable moves smooth. Sometimes you need to disconnect the cable and re route it in the engine bay so there isnt tight bends in it. Then drive it. Especially...

I think thats sump oil temp sensor. Dont think it would cause bad shifting but you never know. Is the speedo smooth or jumpy?

Replace the hand primer filter head they go bad

First is low range. Keep it out of mode and low unless you are off road. You should be able to put it in drive and give it full throttle to run from 2-7. The 2-3 shift is a wide ratio.

You need to run the snot out of that truck and it should start shifting ok. Make sure you are getting full gas pedal travel. Take it up on the highway and run it wide open to 57 for a few miles. Make sure your fluids are right before doing this.

Behind the front grill to the left a bit is a check valve. Allows air in from the front red gladhand to charge the air system. 90% of the check valves are rusty so when you put air in, the check valve won't close properly and when you do get the truck running you can build air it all escapes out...

You can charge the air system from the front emergency gladhand but you will release the spring brakes at the same time. Best to get it started and build air.

I wouldn't worry about that for now. Get it running and there are things to check for the no start at pushbutton. It's not a big deal.

The diaphragm in the separator hand pumps go bad. Once you swap that out you can crack the 2 lines at the front of the fuel pump and prime away. Once you see fuel dripping close them and prime more then crank. Repeat till it starts.
