    28 volt is D.C. Only. Some smaller aircraft use 28 volts. Mid size and up aircraft run on 3 phase 400hz power. So the load bank does both. The 400 amp turbine 28v DC generators can be used to jump start the smaller aircraft that run on 28v.

    The gov cost on that thing is big bucks. Over 100k. Someone will pay for it. Some gov contractor doing work on gov gens that has to use gov contracted equipment to do it.

    Maybe. Your gen is 60hz not 400hz. The load bank you have is intended for aircraft ground power testing.

    Same one as you have. Never got to pick it up the gov backed out of the sale. They can do that. Not the first time it happened to me. I use big 3 phase heaters to load bank bigger gens.     Those are big bucks. Better off selling to someone who will use it for load banking ground power gens and buy yourself a nice civilian load bank with the proceeds. I won one of those a few months ago. Had the paid inv and then the gov took the thing back.
