I dont have a picture on hand but i can take one this evening if need be. Its the 1/8" (I think) plug in the rear of the air pack.

Have yall ever seen new air packs come pre oiled? I attempted to put 1.5oz of air tool oil in mine today & after less than .5oz it was coming out the fill hole. Didn't expect to see that.

Looks like 1oz per 1000mi according to this.

Can anyone point me to the TM that says how much air tool oil to put in my new air pack? I been sitn here next to the truck screwing the pooch for an hour & I can't find anywhere that states how much. I know the IH manual linked a few post back says fill it till it runs out the hole I just wana...

Man I hope the Doc gets your meds straightened out. Is there a write-up on here anywhere on your air dryer install? I would love to read more about that. Sounds like a "most excellent" idea! Really seems like something that should have been on the truck from the factory.

Never hear of vacuum cylinder oil. Is that the same as vacuum pump oil? Most of what I've read says use air tool oil. Admittedly i haven't read the TMs yet.

As much as these things cost i wana be d@mn sure i do it right the 1st time!

Wow. I never would've thought to put that much oil in it! Hmm....

Ok. It will be next week before i have a chance to work on the truck. I'll let yall know how it turns out.

Well, I found one that is supposed be NEW & not NOS. Guy said they bought it from the manufacturer less than a year ago

Well, I talked to the guy at Precision Rebuilders & he said he couldn't really give me a price till he looked the air pack over but it would probally be $450ish. Looks like I'll be buying a new one.
