    Engine problem

No, at idling only smoke comes out of the exhaustpipe. Tough to see it because it is not black or blue or so, like you just see the background/air moving. I checked all over the enginecompatriment and everything looks fine. When I remove the oilfillercap no blowing from there, the breating?pipe...

I do that too. Works fine. I first go check the valveclearance and after that I will go for a ride and see how it does. The rpm is nice and low now; the idlingscrew was loose... At the inspectionstation they said they adjusted the engine a little but they seemed to forget to tighten the...

    Engine problem

Well, yesterday I picked the truck up from the inspection/MOT and drove it home. It again keeps running on high idle like 1500 rpm. Sometimes it hesistates, coughs a few times and spurrs away again. I think I'll start with the injectors...

    Engine problem

I hope not. This is the 4th pump this year. First pump was ruined because some idiot put degreaser in my fueltank while my truck was sitting at a inspection-garage. Stood there for a week. The water based degreaser ate the pump. So I bought another one. Put it in, didn't work, had to travel...

O, that thing. No, that seams normal, just a little breathing. The truck doesn't feel like there is a problem, it has its power, runs good, just that noise..

gasoline is between 10 and 11 bucks a gallon... propane is cheaper, around 4 bucks a gallon so I still can keep on driving my '69 Cadillac Hearse... 8) (daily driver)
  9. Scrambler

    Engine problem

Yes, that is exactly how it goes and indeed, there is a mix in it, gas and diesel, and now I have a new mix of GP4/kerosine and used engine oil, sifted through large coffee-filters. Diesel cost about 9 dollars a gallon at the moment (thanks to your dropping dollar) so I am NOT gonna buy dieselfuel.

    Engine problem

Yes, lots of smoke, more as usually. But I am not sure what you mean by a 'blow by'.. http://img168.imageshack.us/img168/9379/wheelsreomx1.jpg

    Engine problem

o yeah, the intankpump works fine. the pressure of the intankpump gives enough, I think. When I open up the valve on top of the filters there will be a fountain of at least a foot high. I also checked the timing and that is right on the spot

    Engine problem

Hi again. My Duece M36A2 has a new problem. When at cruising speed (any speed cruising) there is this sound what comes out of the exhaustpipe like there is a Huey helicopter flying just above the truck. The idea of barking. Every bark there comes a puff of blueish-black smoke out of the pipe...
