I also have a gas stove. I thought I mentioned that earlier but if I didn't i'm sorry. I mainly checked it out of curiosity. The AC and well pump will never be turned off. Those are necessities because of my disability. So a soft start would be a must on the ac units?

I got my multimeter and finally get got some readings to share. I'm getting about 11.5kw without running washer & dryer, dishwashers, and oven. If I drop the water heater I get about 7.2kw. So I guess as ya'll suggested a 803 would probably do it. My question is would it handle the initial in...

I haven't talked to him. His daughter but the ad up for him so there's very little info. with it. I like to ask a lot of questions (I'm sure you'll have noticed). I'd have a long Q & A before I looked at it. I had no clue if tthe price was reasonable that's why I asked ya'll.

I didn't notice the l1 lug. I thought I'd notice something that obvious. They live several hours away so i'm not really wanting to go look at it if a 803 is a better fit. Every other generator in my area is 3 phase or 5kw.

Thanks for all the advice! Ya'll have me preferring the 803 but I'm afraid it still might be a little small. We will know for sure when my meter gets here. I'm sure I'll have questions.

I ordered a clamp on multimeter. While I'm waiting on it could you guys give me your thoughts on the mep-004a linked below? I haven't talked to the person about it so everything I know is in the video and pics. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1ZPmJzbk2BrbqWaMd-Hpo-kHOjD6row2P?usp=sharing...

I'll get my dad to get real time amps. He wire half the house. I might have to buy a meter though.

Thanks I'm still still learning. I thought I'd need a 15kw but ya'll have me investigating the 803 a little harder. I definitely need to get someone to help me check my amps.

I think my next step is to get my hands on a tool to measure Amp. Light I like that auto start you linked. Would this auto start a mep-004a? https://greenmountaingenerators.com/product/mep004a-mep005a-mep006a-auto-remote-starter-kit/

Can you point me towards info on the auto start? I have a shop with all kinds of machining equipment so I can load it up if need be.

Do you have a problem with wet stacking? Do you have automatic start on it? If $5000 is high what's a fair price? They claim it has 27 hours.

I've seen where it can be rewired. It seems fairly simple. I have not seen any 803 platforms near me. There are several 30kw and 5kw. Obviously they aren't suitable for my needs.

Yeah I always worry my portable isn't going to put out if I need it for long periods. There's a mep-004a near me fs, what's is ya'lls thoughts on that? I think they are ask $5000.

I'm pretty sure it's a twist lock. I can't get to it to see it. My father does all the hooking up of the generator. I do not know the amperage. The new solution will have an ATS. You guys respond fast. Thanks for helping.

Sorry it's actually a 12kw gas generator. Also I'm dead set on a diesel. There's plenty of farmers that will let me buy fuel if I can't get to a store due to flooding or trees down.

I can make it with it but I really need both AC units running. I really just want to be able to run everything like I'm still on the grid. Being in a wheelchair I just can't go anywhere for a few days if the power is out. Also I'm not to worried about fuel consumption. I'm more concerned about...

I'll start with a link background on myself first. About 10 years ago I broke my neck leaving me a quadriplegic. One side affect of that is I can't control my body temperature so have heat or AC running is a must for me. I'd like to run my whole house without really doing any load management...
