    It used to be common to pull the caps/axle shafts. I always just pull the drive shafts.

    Ah, good to hear that the driver did the right thing then. Still, should have pulled the front driveshaft to haul it backwards.

    Ok, so the tow truck driver picked it up from the back, but removed a hob from the front tandem? Sounds like he didn't know what he was doing... I would have pulled the front drive shaft if I was going to do it this way. And I AM a big tow truck driver, I tow semi's and this kind of stuff all...
