It was a 2005-2008 govt rebuild according the the original add on Ebay, and the tag on the pump.

The HH is the hydraulic head. It's the pc on the injection pump where the injectoin lines attach. You can see it my earlier picture, it has red plastic caps still installed.

Update...Idle problem fixed (and probably a few others) After finding some water in the IP, a missing droop screw, and quite a lot of blue silicone around every cover on the original pump, I decided to just replace the thing. I bought one off ebay for $700. Attatched picture was taken about...

Well, I added a droop screw into my pump, and while the low end power is much better, she still just won't hold an idle. I am going to now check valves and injectors. If those seem good, a new pump is on it's way.

Thanks for all the input guys. I'll keep this post short, I am typing on my phone. I found that there is no droop screw in my IP! It is missing. This could be a real problem if out backed out and fell into the pump. I will be tearing into it today. More to come!

maybe ill try and get a good injector cleaner and run thru it...I really don't think it's mechanical in nature, but it sure has stumped me! I am looking at the IP tech manual now, im not sure yet how the idle circuit works...

Thanks Capt. I agree, it seems very possible that it's in the idle circuit. The darn thing runs great other than that. I wonder if a small amount of debris/gunk found it's way into one of those passages?

srodocker-yep I have bled, re-bled, and triple bled! I ran out over a gallon of fuel thru the filter bleeder last night, hoping some air would surface, but none did.

dodgedougak-yes, i did check air filter and also verified that the turbo wasn't "stuck" by manually giving it a little turn. I have had turbo's stick when a pc of carbon get's lodged between the housing and the impeller. I would swear that somewhere there is a tiny amount of air trapped into...

Yep, checked and rechecked that the stop lever is seated all the way as it should be. I'll take another look at the throttle cable bracket. I sure hope it is something that simple. Keep the ideas coming! Thanks.
