Forgot to add, I rebuilt the transmission shifter indicator. Fabricated the indicator needle out of some stretched plastic then painted it with some of my wifes nail polish..! Now I can see when Im in drive! :lol:
Tore the dash apart. Cant glue on the new dash pad until it warms up a bit more here. Removed the instrument panel and cleaned all the dirt out. Sprayed the instrument cluster plastic silver for better reflective light on the gauges. Checked all bulbs. Repaired (what I could) the instrument...
Windshield Washer Repair
As requested pics of the windshield washer repair (1987 K30 washer bottle, hose Y, and wiper motor connector.) If you need any more, let me know :D
Repaired the windshield washer. I put in a repair kit for the pump previously...no joy. The pump would work intermittently. I messed with the cannon plug which plugs into the wiper motor assembly...hit or miss. The rebuild on the washer pump began leaking so I was going to replace the entire...
Re-arched and added springs. New bushings. Added dually hubs up front, new front brakes. Rear wheel spacers. Installed HMMWV wheels with MTR tires....whew!

If the U joints on the old shaft were worn then they gave out under the new (old) yoke
I always change out the u joints and have the drive shaft balanced YMMV
Theres a few slots in the fuse block One marked ignition is only hot when the key is on. There are other slots that are battery hot. Check with a meter though one slot is 24 volts!

Did the doghead relay change, installed a new CDR, cleaned the return fuel flow valve and replaced the rubber hose. Put in a relay to control my radios (ignition on turns battery power to the radios) I was getting real bad alternator whine when I had the radios hooked up through the ignition...
