A lot of myths out there for sure. Has anyone ever determined proof of any M715s in Vietnam? Kinda reminds me of the short-lived experience of M114s in Vietnam with the ARVN. That didn't last long at all.
Actually, the Aussies never sent any Ferrets to Vietnam. This is documented in the book "Mud & Dust" as well as the Australian War Memorial archives. We researched is years back when there were reports of Aussies using Saladins in Vietnam as well, which never happened, either.
A V-100s value depends upon the model, condition, paperwork- is it titled and legally owned?- and how complete and original it is. We would need to see detailed photos.
Cabover designs allow for much efficient use of space. The Pinzgauer 710M, for example, is only inches longer than a MUTT and no wider, yet it hauls 10 people, or 2000lbs. of gear. 8ft. bed in a 12ft. vehicle.

I've had similar experiences, some USAF guys, too. One guy drove 200 miles with his grand kids just to see it and show them. For that, I let him drive it around and give them the experience.
Glad to help out on the shifting. And- indirectly- on helping you get your M-79 mounts. Sounds like you're really getting there. Brakes are easy to tune.
The right side shifting link; the part it attaches to at the transmission is the bell crank. The bell crank pivot needs to be snug fit with no play or you will be fishing for gears. As for rear axle problems, in the context of 18 year old GIs vs. adults...enough said. I don't think anyone has...
