yikes using antifreeze and a balancing agent..if your CTIS is functioning correctly it will purge all the antifreeze after a period of time ..I used balancing beads @30oz per tire when I installed 5 new tires...noticable difference in vibration....but then again I don't run more than 40-45mph ...
Replaced the 2 alternator belts as well as the water pump belt while I was in there… modified to a 2 battery set up since one of my 4 6TL batteries went flat….as a side note, check your alternator mounting/support bolts…..both of mine were MIA…. How the alternator did not fling itself into...
I have the 4 Runner door handles because that was my first approach..but the issue arose as not as much an issue of "notching" the sheet metal... but there is no way in hell to mount the door bolt to the Toyota handles because they are not recessed meaning that cute little 10mm bolt area has to...
common failure point ?..of our exterior door handles...cheap pot metal 'lever"....and much to my chagrin, @$200 for a replacement handle via a certain den of theives in Missouri.. I opted to fab aka : cob job, a rather crude prototype, using what ever I had laying around .. a piece of flat...

fabbed up a base plate/post as well as welded a HF ATV winch to my HF truck bed crane.. almost had a heart attack at the price of 5/16 steel plate and a 1 foot section of 4"x4" x.25 post ..over $100 !!!!
yes and no....the first CTIS valve I broke 2 screws... carelessness on my part.... I had a protein shake in the morning that gave me super human strength..lol... in reality I muscles my way through the first 2 and they broke clean off.....ez out was to no avail.. I used a drill press and...
finally finished mounting 5 "new" MVTs ( big thanks to Ryan at Colony tire)...once you get into a rhythm they go pretty fast.. rebuilt the CTIS lines as well...o rings , diaphragms and I now see Will is selling rebuild kits with new hardware....ugh
they are not an Allison service/dealer... and considering how busy they are and the fact I've dumped close to $15k into the truck, it's not wise for either of us.. But, based in the bearing fragments I showed them, they believe the C6 thrust bearing grenaded (very common) and the clutch pack...
UPDATE:
The truck is complete....the mystery noise of doom was indeed lurking inside the transmission/transfer case..whereabouts unknown..
Truck was driven 20+ miles as a "shake down"...all went well.. the combination of a retran and Transynd made a huge difference in the smoothness of up/down...
