Will let you know. I haven't start that dreaded part of the inventory yet. I was thinking of opting for a tooth extraction without any pain meds rather than deal with that.
No pics because my kid max'd out the data on the wireless for the month.
I made huge progress on the inventory over the last few days. Found a few issues that need corrected which almost exclusively consisted of individual components of the wrong manufacturer. I also figured some sets...
Naw, it's part of the overall set but it just happened to get thrown in with the screwdrivers in the same ammo can for dry, clean, protected storage. There's also a couple screw starters, a hex bit set, and a couple of individual screwdrivers that are part of the Common.
Only part of the wrenches for the Common 1.
The blue one is a metric SK set last 4 is 0010.
The black with the double open end is SAE with last 4 of 6504. There are two sets of these and they would be either Sears or Craftsman. Both of my sets are Craftsman but I have one 9/16 x 5/8 that is...
As soon as I get back, I will be working on another Common. I have not finished the first Common yet but it's close. Garrett brought the uber schwere !" impact socket set I was looking for.
The air compressor is becoming the elusive item.
So, although I am not done with the first Common...
I would need a wide angle fish eye lens looking back a 20' container. It all supposedly fits in a deuce and M105 but when we moved it, some always was (purposefully) left behind (normally supplement stuff) and it was usually in a 5ton with trailer.
Navy Seabees have always amazed me. All you need is a dog and food.
Feed the dog the food, wait for him to poop (it's a family website). Call in the Seabees. A few days later they'll turn that pile into a palace; with electricity and plumbing.
I figure I'm kinda like most guys in the fact that when younger I "borrowed" tools from Dad that somehow took a year or 10 or 20 or 30 years to get back to him. For the record, I want to state that Dad got the second GMTK I ever got and he still says it is the best gift ever.
I went through...
Here's a photo of the screwdrivers for the Common 1. Not that many in the set but just getting this straight took several hours to validate and inventory. I had a bushel basket of screwdrivers to go through and found out that one of the sets in the rolls had 'issues'. This did not include the...
There were several Technical Bulletins (TB) published based on the set which show the recommended packing and stowage.
The one you have is this one which would have been used with a general support and/or a main support battalion level:
SHOP EQUIPMENT, AUTOMOTIVE MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR...
BTW, this all started with the purchase of "empty" tool boxes or tool chests or something like that out of Mechanicsburg around 2008 but they weren't quite empty. I didn't think of collecting this at that time but as I saw more and more items at shows or on ebay or on here, I opted to purchase...
Began an inventory of the Common No. 1 Tool Set today. I'm putting some of the contents in the ammo cans I recently got after I lined them with foam so that I can organize them better and sort out duplicates. Sounds like a lot of effort for a tool set but this will, for the most part, be a...
