    Thanks for the suggested follow-up questions. I’d think the waste gate sticking open would cause the opposite of a high pressure problem. But, I will certainly ask them these questions. We only assumed “burping” of oil was occurring at the crank case vent hose. But we could never recreate...

    Update: Talked with NC Machinery today. They’ve been great to work with so far. Engine checks out strong. Wasn’t blowby Rear main seal and flywheel housing seal...secondarily, the waste gate solenoid is intermittently sticking open. estimate pending....they jokingly offered to buy it...

    I would mirror DiverDarrell’s response. The inspection report and videos all indicated solid running condition with no notable blowby and strong oil pressure. However, the blowby check is at idle...which may be a decent gauge of ring/cylinder/piston condition but doesn’t indicate blowby caused...
