What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Nice! How do you have your chains held forward of the gladhands?

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Blow a little air into it to clear the sludge out of the way. Make sure the radiator cap is off so you don’t overpressure it.

No need to take the zerk out. Just push the needle tight up against the little check ball in the end of the fitting and pump. I screw my needle directly onto my guns hose instead of the zerk adapter shown in Mullaneys photo. Also they make needles in many different lengths.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

I think I can reach all mine with my long needle tip. Reminds me about time to do this…

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Much safer for you and your equipment to use the pintle for pulling also much easier to pull whole trees over than a short stump. Assuming you have a long enough chain, cable or strap! Stump took a LOT more persuasion than the trees

The vent lines are small but should have trouble keeping up with “natural” pressure changes. I suppose closing them could help with moisture over long term storage along with a “full” tank to minimize air space. However during normal operations they need to be open to allow air/moisture in.

Check your tank vents, sounds like they are plugged…

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Yes, IIRC the HEMTT wheels are only needed for 16.00s to keep from rubbing at full lock in one direction.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

If the cotter pin was still through the castle nut and not sheared off, you likely have a pinion bearing problem that will need addressed.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

If I thinking correctly I think jack stands are rated per pair? If so 5 ton stands could be too light for a 5 ton truck depending on which axle, cargo load and truck variant.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Here is how I add air to my tank through the vent lines. I also keep my little paint gun regulator in the truck and use it to help keep from over pressuring the tank. Disregard the 90 degree piece of coper tube laying on the tank, that is not part of the air setup, just the old pickup line that...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

I think Valley Rock is working on a m939 series. Speaker is built into the module that controls the dash warning lights as well.

Put a piece of electrical tape over the speaker, it will almost completely mute the squeal. Then if want, you can peal back just enough for as much as you can tolerate.

Are you fighting low or no heat in the cab, If so have you checked flow through the heater core? If poor or none make sure the valves at the block are open and not plugged and try flush the core then reverse the lines to help dislodge debris. Also a complete cooling system flush is probably...

Thats what I get for trying to recall! Hopefully I remembered correctly for the shutterstat temp?

Iirc, t-stat is 195, and fan kicks on at 205

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

I finally got my cheap, train horns mounted. Couldn’t find a enough room under the hood to mount them without some real elaborate bracketry, until I realized just mount them to the hood. Still need to paint the heads of the stainless bolts. I tee’d into the existing horns, they all compliment...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Looks like two different customers junk has went to lunch at the same time, and need to upgrade. Think M715mike has 8.3, Mullaney looks to have something else. Assuming 855?
