Hey gang,
I don't know for sure what is left, if anything at all. Everything was supposed to be gone before January 1.
I've been told by another SS member that the scrap guy's phone number has been disconnected.
I can try to get an update on Monday Morning.
Sorry guys, I haven't made it back there since Monday, and I'm afraid I'm out of free time to make another trip. As of Monday, there was one or two partial deuces, and maybe five M37s.
PM me if you want the contact info. Maybe you can work out something directly.
Had some limited success today. BIG THANKS to Todd Haley for helping me drag stuff out of the yard through some really nasty mud.
-Trango - check your voice mail.
-Wallew - really sorry, no salvageable fuel tanks
-hndrsonj - got two sets of winch mounting brackets. I'll send you a pic...
just have to vent about something else. . .
You wanna' know something else that really got under my skin about this place? There was NOT ONE GOOD PIECE OF GLASS in the whole lot! Not a window, windshield, mirror, headlight, nuthin' - every single one was broken. I bet they weren't that...
Cabell,
How bad do you want those things? I will try to help if I can. There were still 8-10? M37s there on Saturday (more of them than anything else) , but it looks like they are next in line for the ride on a" flat bed hearse " :(
To be honest with you, my m37 knowledge is weak. I'll...
Update: Saturday morning - Arrived at the site bright and early with tools in hand, but the scrapman never showed. I guess he took the day off, . . . can't say that I blame him. It just stinks when someone tells you they will be there, and then they leave you hanging. :?
We looked around some...
Yes Jim. Well actually, the boat is on a flat bed trailer beside the bus. It just looks like the boat is sitting on the bus.
There are at least two boats, maybe three (can't remember) . . and I don't believe they were on the Grim Reaper's list.
Ok, the trip is on for tomorrow morning - It wil be Myself, Todd, and another local guy who got wind of the news through the M715zone forum. Wish us luck.
ok, let's see . . . .
- Boatcarpenter, That clip should be an easy one.
-Bill (DS), I agree. It's a darn shame that someone would...
I stumbled upon a local MV graveyard today. Some of the stuff is for sale, but not all. Deuces, M715, M37, and maybe a couple of jeeps. What is for sale is headed to the scrapman immediately.
Guys, sorry for the short notice, but I just found this today. I just made it before it got dark...
