I picked up a 2.5-pound 5:BC vehicle fire extinguisher with mounting bracket for less than 20 bucks. It is DOT-approved, and has a 2020 date on it. And I'll keep the larger ABC fire extinguisher under the passenger seat to back this one up.

From the looks of that bracket, whatever fit in there was WAY smaller than 5 pounds. I was already thinking of putting a bigger one under the seat and losing the stock "leg shredder" bracket- I think you have helped me to make up my mind...

My MTVR did not come with a fire extinguisher, just a mangled bracket. I straightened the bracket, but does it take some standard-sized fore extinguisher that is readily available at a good price, or should I just buy one that comes with a bracket and replace the whole thing?
