Easiest way to do that is to tack flat corners in and to maget/clamp steel as you move forward so mext inch or so is even with tank and tac again. Rinse and repeat. As you slowly move to the rounded part, it will naturaly follow the curve. Works even better if you heat the patch metal as you go...

I learned from my first one to not over do. Alot times you will not get the enjoyment out of it to equal an over done restoration. Fix it and engjoy, It also helps a whole lot on the pocket book, which makes it funner again.

Its funny how people would rather spend all the time trying to over bondo, than to just weld in a new small piece to fix the body. I do realise alot past owners may not had a welder, but most did or knew a welder.

Crown makes a repo civi pump. As for diff, there is a lot. Military only has one rotating pump wheel, and the relief valve is in the casing, not the lid. Both fit same and do same job, just different designs and different availability.

Tip: Stick with the civilian repo oil pumps, when going to a show or selling, switch to military pump. The military ones are almost impossible to find now. That way for dailyish driver you use civi, so no real issue if it fails.

Congrats wade and bravo, both look great. Today i got mine to turn over and run on starter fluid, later in day i found out the comp who rebuilt my fuel pump put the top portion on 360 wrong. It was blowing air into gas tank, instead of sucking it, fixed that. Hope to have it running on fuel...
