Most likely it is fourth gear and reverse. Any good trans shop that works big transmission will be able to address the rebuild. I have an A3 with the same issue, 8 bell housing attach bolts and it's on the ground. May repair it myself if I find the time.
Driller is spot on. The A3 has an electrical fuel shutoff, the "T" handle is for emergency shutoff in the event the elect. S/O fails in the open position. The A2 deuce has the manual "T" shutoff. The multi fuel will continue to run even without electrical power to the engine.
Installed a set of Ouverson lock out hubs on the front axle this weekend of my A3 this weekend. Need to modify the CTIS stone guards now. Has anyone accomplished this mod to their stone guards? I have a couple of ideas, waiting to start cutting.

Pull the transmission drain plug on my A3 and red ATF came out, was expecting motor oil. Truck was recovered from Wright Pat last summer. Dropped the pan and changed all filters. Hopefully be back on the road for the Fourth of July Parade.
