Pulse Battery Maintainers (was Pulse Charging)

Yep, the low voltage cutoff is why my little solar rig on the trailer will typically shut the works down if I run my lights for about 18hrs. It reaches the point where it just goes "nope, plug the real charger in". LOL

Pulse Battery Maintainers (was Pulse Charging)

I actually have that setup on my M1082 trailer. I have an interior flood and one set up outside, flag pole lights, rock lights under the bed, and my crane winch is 12v. I run two 12v deep cycles in paradelle. It has a little charger I can run to 120v and it's complemented by a solar panel. It...

Sure, if you buy from a surplus flipper. Or you can buy one for $100 direct from auction (where the flippers get them). :)

But the magic smoke has often been let out of those. (don't ask me how I know, but like I said I'm very good at releasing that) ;p

Well there are always a percentage of bad reviews on Amazon. But that's true with all electronics, really. I'm not dissing NOCO I just want to try something cheap with a reasonable amp output that can be run while attended. NOCO's get a bit pricy in the 6-10a range. I can coax the magic...

Pulse Battery Maintainers (was Pulse Charging)

Yep. I should have titled the thread "Pulse Maintenance" opposed to charging to clarify. As I said in the post, I'm just looking to see if I can breathe some life into some Hawkers. One of four are fine, but the others could have been dead for years. I already have a PulseTech kit (and it...

Pulse Battery Maintainers (was Pulse Charging)

I have a load tester from Horror Freight and it would liquify at 1000a. LOL

Pulse Battery Maintainers (was Pulse Charging)

Yeah, I have a PulseTech. Plan to mount it fixed on my M1079 once I get the rest of the solar package lined up. For now I just want something that works on cloudy days. I wouldn't the the Chinese crap unattended, but for pulsing a 12v they seem to do the same thing (at 8amps).

btw: it's just an example There are some that have decent reviews for 24v. Edit, and 12v really will do as I'm speaking about individual/uninstalled battery refresh/maint.

Pulse Battery Maintainers (was Pulse Charging)

I've got a set of Hawkers that are not totally "dead" yet. In fact one is holding charge with a sustained drain and appears to be fine. I have the usual PulseTech solar maintainer, but I ran across this and for the price I have to try it. Has anyone tinkered with similar (Chinese crap)...
