So I'm not sure if I got the number from his post but it looks like, according to it, I did get the correct fuel line. Brand and part number.
Thanks for verifying!
Rich.

I'm not sure if it's exactly stock by the TM...but it is the spec size of 3.5mm inside diameter with the mesh outer and diesel use...I couldn't find that size anywhere but online...there's a pic of the company I bought it from, a post 1 January. Mine got shipped out of Baltimore but I think they...
Took 2 weeks but I finally got the return fuel line in the mail!! Took all that time to come from Baltimore 45 minutes north to here! The nitrile fuel return seals look like they should work fine. I will be going at this repair tomorrow!
Parts/spares are very slowly making it's way here! USPS is overwhelmed. Hopefully get the return line and the other few things I ordered. I have 2 main fuel filter water separators...I assume the one on the genset has not been changed...I usually see a marker with a date written on it...I may...
So I got the new gauge the other day which is exactly the same as the one I burned up! Thanks Light man!! Does it work?? Yes...the gauge reads a touch under full...the sending unit resistance wire is now at 56 ohms when it was 20 ohms before I took out the sender...I haven't run the fuel down...
I just found out that the center popped up and locked in position to fill with fuel...I fiddled with it some that day and tried to take it out but it didn't want to easily so I left it...I'll dig some more tomorrow again and see how it unlocks! Pouring rain here today so I'll keep the fuel tank...
I completely appreciate that sticky you did!! I ordered parts by referring to it to get the ones I think I need now plus an extra or 2! I did get the nitrile plugs->I think you posted about that too...I have a nice torque wrench that's seen hundreds of transmission valve bodies, so I'll be set...
That makes sense...I just looked at mine and it has a screen attached to the filler neck that pops up...I will explore this some more and see if it does come out as I do think I could get in there then, if need be, to at least test the float for the gauge-->adjust height and such for the level...
I gotta admit that getting out the sending unit had some challenges...but now that I have done it I don't think a 30 minute replacement time would be out of scope!! Mine did not change resistance at any float location so I had to take it out and get it working again...the reaching in and trying...
I got that for sure....copy and paste has been my friend finding parts for sure...the only thing I struggle with is they show every nut and bolt but I haven't found a general layout pic of where each part is in the gensets...have had that problem on a 531 I've been working on since March!!
The parts lookup is one of my favorite setups in the tm...way better than what I am used to! In the auto world it would take a good bit of time to look up all the individual times a parts used on a specific part...some have done the required to do a part but it isn't very clear still...this has...
Page 64!! That's how I found the part number...I see 2 number 38s....I did not notice yesterday when I had the cover off that there was a line going into the side of the tank too...I will get 2!
I just put this in my cart 2 minutes ago....we think alike!! I wasn't sure if it was for the return line as it is listed as tank drain...I found a good thread in here about this very part leaking everywhere...was suggested to use the nitrile compound.
I don't have Oreillys here at all...I see them advertised everywhere though...commercial kinda drives me nuts....why does it haver to be so loud!! Anyhow I found some 3.5mm through CRP on amazon...t's the german car mesh looking stuff. I have vacuum stuff from the car work I do...
It took me a few to figure out which lines you were referring to!! Yeah that would be a sparks show for sure!! I've hit some fun stuff over the years in electric cars so no I will get that wrapped up! I prefer real fireworks vs surprise electrical explosions.
I hear that...I have read a good bit of the tm...it has been a big learning curve at how the tm stuff is written...very different than what I'm used to...just shut down after letting it go all night keeping the house warm and all the lights on too...hot shower this morning then I let it cool off...
Completely agree...I have no idea what it's going to do...it's been running for about an hour now...had to tighten up one fitting since a tiny drip leak...looking into the filler neck and the fuel is sitting about 2 inches above the mesh of it...so far it hasn't gone any higher and not sure if...
Ok I know it works just thought it stood out being a different look of the others...I think this is the part you make now? I gotta get on the ball and get that ordered from you!! First email was back in July I think!
Thanks!!
I have no idea which pump is in there but it does work but haven't run it long enough to see if it will over fill....I am hoping the level sensor for it works and shuts down properly!! I have 2 300 gallon tanks hooked up to it now with a shut off valve on each tank...the top of the tanks are...
