Barrman it was great to see you the other day during the Covid event. For those that say this thread should be in the "modified" forum, yes it probably should, but it was started by me before there was a modified forum and thus that is why it is in the regular forum. If the admin wants to move...

Tim. If that is the DB4 you got from me it is used and needs a rebuild. I bought it as a spare for the CUCV2 if I ever needed one.

Those are some good looking injectors. ;-) Too bad you weren't able to install all the goodies when the engine was out.

Winter is here already. It was a cold 98 today....lol Looking at this Standyne manual a DB2 is a DB2 even with different size plungers. http://www.stanadyne.com/docs/misc/99009%20DB2%20Manual.PDF DB2831 DB2, 8 cylinder, .31" plunger I would think any shop would be able to work on it. Now the...

Since you have a second 6.5 pump to test with, tell them that is from a 6.2. The replacement parts should be the same. When are you driving to OKC? I haven't seen you in a while. :-)

You need to add a backup camera to your list. That dang tire takes up all the view. It makes a better door than a window.... ;-)

Sure has come a long way from August 2011 when this adventure started. You need to send the pictures to LMC Truck for their restoration layout. Did you install Lo-Jack so all the SS members will keep their hands off? :-) Great job Tim.

Looks great Tim!!!! I'll be down to pick it up as soon as you get the tranny ironed out. You really need a Chebby horn button. The GMC just won't cut it. ;-)

Tim, What condition is the front axle from the'90? Is it a candidate for a swap also?

M1007 - CUCV Suburban Clone Build Thread

Don't forget to check the front axle. It may be in the same shape. Also flush the brake lines before hooking them up to the clean cylinders. Looking forward to the first test drive.

And everyone laughed at me as I was buying 'burbs and 1009s by the half dozen. Sure is nice to have your own parts house onsite....;-) And Tim, Valentines came and went and you didn't make a road trip to OKC. What is up with that?

If you do it on the stand with a slight rotation of the stand you can get the fluid all round the rings instead of just on the bottom. Just thinking out loud.
