Update 11/07/2020: WE HAVE SMOKE!!!! Yes folks, she fired up today...about time... I built a device to pressurize the fuel system. I couldn’t believe how long it took to get fuel slowing. I used 10 PSI to get the fuel to flow thru the system. Good thing I did because I found 2 fuel lines...

Update 10/25/2020 very little done this weekend. Still waiting on my oil delivery. I should receive it Tuesday 10/27/2020. I did install the oil filter and a new pair of batteries.

Update 10/20/2020 everything is installed at this point. I had to order oil because apparently SAE 40 is hard to find. I’ll have it next Tuesday. I have the spare oil filter ready as well. Filled the radiator with 10 gallons plus 10 gallons of water. New batteries are next.

No kidding. Hahaha

Next weekend...can I fly you up?

Update 10/11/2020 with help from Tracer, we were able to double check and readjust the injector rocker heights. Most were within a 1/2 turn of the pushrod. Next thing we tackled was the muffler. Glad I have a spare tire crane. We got that installed with minimal issues. Installed the valve...

I’m looking at sinopec, tulux straight 40. $50.00 for 5 gallons. Thoughts?

Perfect. I have that TM. I read it and see that its a hand pump that threads into the side of the fuel filter housing and sucks fuel up from the tank into the filter. Since I did not disconnect anything south of that, it’s primed up to that point as far as the TM goes.

Can you give/make a sketch? Sorry, I’m a visual guy...

Went with the 1.470”. After tightening the lock nut it measured 1.466“-1.467. TM says 1.466”.

Update 9/26/2020: got the two gages needed to adjust the throttle delay. Pretty simple adjustment. Installed the exhaust manifolds. Attached the remaining air lines to throttle, fan clutch etc. finished wiring jake brakes. Ordered the 1.470” injector height adjustment tool. The tool should...

Update 9/20: scored two of the gages on eBay. $15 for one and $20 for the other. just now would like borrow, or buy cheap, J34610 injector timing gage 1.466” high.

Jakes done...wasn’t a big deal. next hurdle: anyone know where I can find/ borrow these Gages?

If I didn’t mess with them, do they still need adjusting? I only unbolted them from the heads. Put each one back in exactly the same position.
