oil supply ?? the engine oil pump takes oil from the sump..wence it goes through the filters..primers (also) take (the same) oil from the same same source AND send that oil THROUGH the filters...(at the filter block housing)obviating the point of FILLING the EMPtY(drained) filter cannistors..

pre lube your project sounds good. and not acting as a check valve doesn't matter. MINE drains back each and every time its stood. BUT gents...so it takes 30seconds to prime full..WHAT A NICE (satisfying) feeling when the oil press(eventualy). climbs to 15 lbs or so B 4 pushing the start...

just done a friends duce...fork truck lift pump! driven by 24volt starter moter pipe to REAR of sump (at rear soldered in curved down and submerged in the oil. ((quick job removing and modifying the sump)) then pipe up to filter input housing. FILLS BOTH CANS in about 30 seconds, (whos in a rush...

Addition to comments..Now I have attended a coulple of shows and USED the ELECTRIC pre-oiler I am so satisfied with the result I am to cnvert my other Ms to this system. Yes leave the truck standing for (YONKS!) but hit the (a) second master switch..flick "prime" and sit and wait for the oil...

RE: Engine Prelubricator well our test rigs ran 21000 psi on impulse to destruction tests( two relief valves to set impulse and pulse delay)per 15 seconds down to twice per/sec temperatures up to 200c mind bogglin stuff...gues thats ok for an M62!?...on the seriouse side tho..I am seriously...

RE: Engine Prelubricator Note. the "rubber"! pipe ENCLOSES steel wire clad metalistic hose..20k pressure margin. (like jcb/hydraulic stuff)
