What did you do to your deuce this week?

Got my tranny 99% finished. IPM calls out for a washer under the castellated nut on the output. Mine did not have one so tomorrow I'll make a NAPA run and get that and some lube. Then bolt the top down. Leaving the jack shaft off until I can get the engine mostly finished. Got my LDS rockers...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Burt got 2 more brake lights and new mud flaps. Flaps are too short per DOT here so I’m making some extensions from the old ones, eventually.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Yep they both got bigger before they got smaller! I did end up welding a patch over the large hole after I removed some of the rusted this metal. That was a new experience for me. Trying to make a patch from 16ga with a double curve. Got both done with decent welds. Almost getting good at...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Since I figured out my brake issue (separate thread) of one wheel being way out of adjustment and it's too cold to address I decided to work on the interior. Pulled the seats to rework. OMG that spring seat is heavy! Found some cracks in the frame and generally in good shape but very dirty...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Since I bought my deuce...what retirement? Although working on it 6-7 hours a day for the first year, I love being retired. Wish I had been smart enough to save more earlier, but noooooo.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Also make sure where they are made or what size the bleed screw is. I just replaced all six of mine and when it came to bleeding it is royal pain in the arse. The bleed screws are metric. Requiring a 12 mm wrench. The increased size of the screw makes it very difficult to get the wrench on and...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Just a thought. While I had my radiator out not only did I take it to a radiator shop for cleaning, I removed the studs and are replacing them with bolts to make R&R easier in the future. If you do this be SURE to measure carefully as there is a small pad in the bottom of the hole to protect the...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Decided to address my leaking LH mid tire. I learned on the front end R&R is easier if you pull the hub. So I did. Uh oh..another project. I mean it poured out. Can't wait to see what the bearings look like.
