how to turn up fuel...in pictures?

Thanks. I got a shock to myself when I was doing more work on the truck trying to track this down. I guess I may not have an issue...although I still think the engine should rev to 25-2600 fairly easily (just doesn't want to rev past 2200). The engine data plate was very faded with the black...

I tried adjusting the droop screw today, with no change, I still can't get more than 2psi pressure. I guess I'm going to try changing the turbo with a C turbo. Jim

how to turn up fuel...in pictures?

Thats all i want is a little low end power. I've driven my father's Deuces and laugh that they have no power (compared to a typical newer diesel truck) but mine has about half the power of his! I need to sell this truck soon, so i just want to make sure its tuned right. It was a LOOONG trip home...

how to turn up fuel...in pictures?

Well I think I found my problem. I hooked up my boost gauge today and took it for a spin, and going uphill I can only get about 6 lbs. of boost, max. From what I saw in another thread, I should be seeing 8.84 to 9.82 psi boost at 1600 rpms. Well at 1600 I'm closer to 4 lbs. or less. Now...am I...

how to turn up fuel...in pictures?

Well I had a chance to wrench on the truck some today. I turned the fuel screw 1 turn, test drove and was careful to watch smoke. No change from where it was. Turned it 1 more full turn, very small change. I'm able to come up my hill in 4th gear now, and it only slows down a few MPH on the...

Drill hole to proper size, run pipe tap down to proper depth, install pyro. Most pyro sensors are 1/8-27 NPT. Tap drill size is .332", or letter "Q" bit. Depth of thread: Official technique to get proper depth is to run the tap in 12 turns. I just go by eye though, and tap until the threads...

Thanks and repped! If there is enough time between the rain tomorrow I'll check it out. I just replaced my cracked injector line, so now I can move forward to other maintenance items. Jim

how to turn up fuel...in pictures?

Well I have an oddball. Older A2, non C turbo (still a turbo). It has fairly recent filters, but I'm going to change them again before doing any real adjustment; and will install a pyrometer as well. This truck is GUTLESS. I mean I can barely hit 2400 rpms on the flats, even in lower gears, no...
