Got the back of the cab finished today. I lost a day yesterday because of rain. I hope to set the winch tomorrow. Mr. Hyde is not the fastest but he is doing a great job. Almost finished with the right side rocker and cut out the left side.

Got the winch set in place today. Friend of mine came down with his boom truck to help out.

David,

I have mentioned this to several 10 ton owners before,Someone has to have the original molds for the 1400 X 24 NDCC tire out there, maybe we could all get together and put in a large enough order to get them to run off a couple hundred or so?

Tires? Hahaha! I've been to David's shop before. That is the only place I've ever seen a new 1400X24 NDCC. Remember, he has 3 10 tons!

Dirt,
Congratulations on your work on this truck and a patiently constructed series
of posts that have generated so many comments.

I served a little less than a year with the 225th HEMCO at FtSill,OK. The 225th
had two 10T tractors with Draggin Wagon trailers that I was assigned as a
backup driver for when one of the assigned drivers was sick or transferred out of our unit. I don't remember the model(?) numbers of either. Ours were gas with Leroi V8's and 5 x 2 crash box transmissions. I believe we hauled all the tracked vehicles that were moved by truck on Ft Sill from units on main post to west or east range. Both of our trucks sounded like a fuel dragster under a load. Some of my hearing and probably anyone else close was lost on some of our hauls through main post with mp escorts. I never used the big winches, all of the loads that I drove one on were operational track vehicles like an M109 SP or an M60 tank that we drove on and off of the trailer. The 5 X 2 ten speed non-synchro transmission eliminated many driver trainee prospects.

Almost done David. Once complete you can re-focus on the M125 so that when it's complete you can start the other M125. LOL, too much truck!
