1028 2000 mile roadtrip reliability

I found a metal plate about 2x3" riveted to the block behind the intake manifold near the oil pressure gauge fitting.It was hand inscribed with ser.#,overhaul date,and location of work,(Ft. Sill ,OK.)I was pleasantly surprised at the date,01/09.I needed to remove the air filter housing to access the plate.
