I ask some dumb questions to some of you fella's I guess.

What do you use these on, and how, or what do you strap them to? An example would be good. I don't usually tow anything unless it is a stock military trailer behind a deuce or M-37. They all have lights, as you know.

Fantastic work there Derrick! Where do you get those little lights. I have a ton of the regular ones, so maybe I can use them for something now if I can find those three smaller ones.

They're for towing something that doesn't have functioning lights, like another vehicle on a towbar.

See the photo - You'll have to excuse my dirty windshield.

Fabricating a Tow Light Bar

I think I've found all the posts and photographs of tow light bars on the forum. I have spare lights and metal so I am in the process of fabricating one. I'd like it to be as close to original as possible. What I don't have are measurements of one. Would someone be willing to post several pictures of their light bars with a tape measure next to it? How big and long is the square tube? Detailed measurements of the standoffs and strap brackets? Widths and lengths of the straps? Any numbers on the straps? Better pictures of the buckles? Dimensions of the rubber bumpers? Part number off the socket (and plug if you have the wiring extension). The more details the better. Any help is appreciated.

This thread would allow others in the future to fabricate their own.

Here are a few pictures taken from other threads as a guide.
