12v vs 24v inverter

I'm looking to put an inverter in my M1009. Is there any major advantage to using a 24v one, or should I just stick with a 12v one?

24V uses fewer amps at the same load, also, you have that nifty 24V power block behind the passenger's seat already wired and ready for almost any size inverter you want.

Those would be the two key points for me.
