18 Amp Regulator and Generator

I'm looking for TM's on the 18 Amp regulator and generator (24V of course) that would have been in stationary gensets, pumps, welders, etc circa 1960.

Here's the specific information:

Generator MS-13823, Autolite, GHS-6002AT, 18 amp, GHS-6002DT?, GHS-6002UT?, 2920-00-640-7518

Regulator MS-13805, Autolite, VBU-4002AT, 18 Amp, VBU-4002UT, pn 1118644

There are only two wires from generator to regulator, and one wire that goes directly to the battery from the regulator, not the tradtional 3 wire - 4 wire for the 25 amp units.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

OK, given the sound of crickets out there in response to my post, this is an invitation for ANY information on the 19 amp units. I'll take guesses, musings, cussing, etc.

I'm only getting a 26.5 charge on it and it should be 28.8. As a result, it doesn't fully charge new batteries after I crank on it for awhile. This is in a 1960 military genset. I can crank up the voltage but if I understand these mechanical regulators, they are constant current, no? So surely I have to balance out the cutout current as well. I fully admit I don't know what I'm talking about with these older units?

I can not see any relay contacts that are burned - they look good to me.
