Howdy all,

My girlfriend's father bought this beastie about 10 years ago, after trying to do so for some years, and eventually getting the seller to "give in".

After having it towed to his property in Sylva, North Carolina, he never did anything with it. It's been parked under a carport roof the whole time.

The odometer shows under 1,000, perhaps original, miles. Ken was told that this truck had a radar body on it at one point.

One of the diagonal frame crossmembers at the rear was cut out, perhaps for PTO driveshaft clearance.

As far as I know, Ken never tried to start it. He said that a 24V to 12V conversion was partially undertaken by a previous owner.

Hi Darron and Zoe, nice photo shoot/documentation. Truck is in better than average "as found" condition, have seen much worse. Not sure about the "radar body", looks to be a garden variety M211 cargo. You can put a bed from a later M35A2 on in no prob, also swap out all the bad tires with M35A2 wheel/tire assys from a late truck. As you can imagine it will need a complete fuel system and brake overhaul, and the wiring will be a crumbling mess. Even though the county was messing with it, it is very special to see the truck in the original as released paint scheme. I would guess this truck was released in the early 70's.
