ok Carnac ID it a 1970 by the VIN, but there is no, I mean no manufacturer name anywhere, so can anyone help me? GL sold it as an AM General but I just dont know.:?::?::?:

AM General did not start making trucks until 1971... However i have a 1966 make by AM General. I have 2 trucks made into one. serial number is a 66 while the frame is a 71...

Well the two 1970's trucks i have where Kiaser-Jeep, the two 1971's i have are AM General, I thought i was told AM General didnt take control until mid 1971?

You actually are providing information about two trucks above. The registration number 4J2743 is that of a 1966 or 1967 (I'd have to look it up to be sure) Kaiser-Jeep - which corresponds to the Mfr number 0125-26943. HOWEVER - if the frame number REALLY is 0525-23530 then the info I gave is useless (someone switched plates) - and the truck's real identitiy is a 1971 AM General with the registration number of 4L93371. This would make it one of the earliest trucks built after the name was changed to AM General.
