Hello,

I am repainting my duece and am confused as to what color of olive drab to get for the interior for the vehicle. I know it is not the "383 green" like the exterior. There are a few different Olive drabes to choose from and i wasnt sure which was the correct one. . I use rapcoparts so that is all i know of numbers and whatnot for the paints.

Any help would be great!
Thanks much

I was just thinking of masking and then rattle can the whole interior buy like 9 cans and then a few extra 383 for exterior touch up.
OR would you recommend buy a gallon and brush it on?

I am not going to spray it on with a air comp. or electric gun.

I hand brushed the exterior and it turned out pretty dang good with 2 gallons of 383 green.

So i just wasn't sure what route to take with the interior.
I was thinking the rattle cans would be better than a brush?

Thanks again
Matt

Both of my trucks, the inside is the same as the outside "383", I got both straight from the government. I have seen some trucks with the older color paint inside and the modern color outside. I think the painter was either to lazy to paint the inside or they had too many trucks to do and not enough time.

Lex_Ordo,

C'mon Fess Up!
That's not really your truck in the pics!

Looks more like an archive PIC from the original Kaiser OR AM General sales catalog!!

Q: Is that nifty wheel lock stock??

PS: NICE LOOKIN' Interior!!!

I would paint it with whatever I painted the outside with. The trucks came from the factory the same as the outside. Looks like they repainted the outside with CARC but didn't get around to painting the inside. If you like the color of the inside and want to repaint with that it's more than likely 24087 as stated above

WOW,, your interior looks great!!

I bought a few rattle cans of the 24087 as stated above. ONLY because that is how it was when i picked it up form the gov. Also i like the look of the drabe green inside it.

I still have ALOT of work to do(mainly cosmetic).,, but here are a few pics of me showing it to the "shocked" relatives who were in town. These are the only photos of it in its current/newer state. I also included a few photos of it when i picked it up.

Once i get more done i will take some good pics and post them.
Thanks a million for the responces and interest.

Slimpicken what a nice paint job!
I really like it. I'm also partial to the solid OD, so I really like the way your truck came out.

My data plates I received after speaking with John Murray. at TnJ Murray. It took a little while, but what a nice suprise when they came. The only originals are the Actual Am General Plate, and the tech manual plate.
