1972 454 hydroboost on a m1028 help

I swapped in a 1972 454 last night and I am clue less on how the hydro boost system works on my cucv. I know that I can take my pulley off and place it onto the 454 pulley bracket but I was wondering if there is any way that I can cheat that bye using the 454 original power steering pump but making it hydro boost or is that impossible and I need to put the hydro boost power steering onto the 454 brackets.

I just read that you can tie the two return lines into each other and that will work can anyone confirm this?

Are the pumps the same? If they have the same connections in and out, I would use the one on the 454 since it already fits the engine. If the pumps are the same or similar and you can change the original cucv pump on to the 454 pump mounting bracket, that would be another option. Either way would work.

also just read that the fittings are going to be different because of the years but I am going to double check this and hope for the best.

Yes the older style is flared & the newer is oring style.
