1993 AM General won't move!

This M35A3 auto trans 6x6 won't move an inch on its own power.
I am new to this rig! hope it is simple!!
Trans oil was low, have moved transfer case lever all positions.
Brake off forward, reverse, Won't budge!! Free wheels though.

Check underneath for any disconnected linkage to transfer case and transmission? If you can see mechanical input from the levers into both tranny and transfer case, check colour, smell of tranny fluid. It might be 15W40 engine oil but it still should not be black and smelling burnt. Oftentimes, even with burnt up clutches in tranny, you can at least feel/hear gear engagement in tranny, even if there is no more torque output.
