Sealer

No need to seal the top because I dont go down to the bare fiberglass, I just sand the paint smooth then prime and paint. So I did use a red oxide primer.

no gloss

C- no gloss but the Rapco 383 green does have a little more gloss than the CARC type paint. However, I have found that it holds up better to scratches because of this.

Ramesh's truck

Hi Mike, yep Ramesh's truck. I painted the bumpers and grill black today it really looks good now.

Tips on painting:

1. Watch your mixing ratio vs the air temp. Follow the mixing directions on the can. It's better a little thicker than thin.

2. Let it dry overnight BEFORE you touch it!!

3. Stir the paint very good as these cans have been sitting.

4. If you use primer WAIT 1 hr then top coat with the color.

i found a regular paint gun was putting the paint on way too smooth and was causing a bit too much gloss. I switched to using a wagner power painter (dont laugh) to give it a more textured finish. Seems to work for military paint jobs.

I havent forgotten about you needing cucv trucks 82abnmp I just havent been in the country for long enough to be worth anything.

Paint

Yep, sometimes I lay it on too good (flat) and it gets a little shiny. Also, better to get back off the body and let it overspray on the paint to add texture.
